1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using 3D TACT's services, you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provisions of this agreement. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

These terms apply to all users of the service, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, customers, merchants, and/or contributors of content.

2. Services Description

3D TACT provides additive manufacturing services including but not limited to:

  • Custom 3D printing using FDM, SLA, and SLS technologies
  • Rapid prototyping services
  • Small-batch production manufacturing
  • Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM) consultancy
  • Material selection and process optimisation guidance

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of our services at any time without prior notice.

3. Orders and Quotes

3.1 Quote Validity: All quotes provided are valid for 30 days from the date of issue unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change based on material costs and project specifications.

3.2 Order Acceptance: Your order is not binding until we send you written confirmation of acceptance. We reserve the right to refuse any order for any reason.

3.3 Minimum Orders: While we strive to accommodate all project sizes, certain services may have minimum order requirements which will be communicated during the quoting process.

4. Payment Terms

4.1 Payment Methods: We accept payment via credit card, bank transfer, and approved payment platforms. Payment terms will be specified in your quote.

4.2 Deposits: For orders exceeding £500, a 50% deposit is required before production begins. The remaining balance is due before shipping.

4.3 Late Payments: Accounts not paid within 30 days may be subject to a service charge of 1.5% per month on the outstanding balance.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Your IP Rights: You retain all intellectual property rights to your designs and CAD files. We will not use, reproduce, or share your designs without explicit written permission.

5.2 Confidentiality: All customer designs and project information are treated as confidential. We implement strict data security measures to protect your intellectual property.

5.3 Your Responsibility: You represent and warrant that you have all necessary rights to the designs you submit and that production does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights.

6. Quality and Tolerances

6.1 Manufacturing Tolerances: All parts are manufactured to industry-standard tolerances for the selected technology (±0.2mm for FDM, ±0.1mm for SLA, ±0.3mm for SLS) unless tighter tolerances are specified and agreed upon.

6.2 Quality Control: All parts undergo visual inspection before shipping. We will remake or refund parts that do not meet agreed-upon specifications due to manufacturing defects.

6.3 Material Characteristics: 3D printed parts may exhibit layer lines, support marks, and minor surface imperfections inherent to additive manufacturing processes.

7. Shipping and Delivery

7.1 Lead Times: Estimated lead times are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. Production delays may occur due to material availability, equipment maintenance, or unforeseen circumstances.

7.2 Shipping Costs: Shipping costs are additional unless otherwise stated. We are not responsible for customs duties, taxes, or import fees for international shipments.

7.3 Risk of Loss: Risk of loss and title for items purchased pass to you upon delivery to the carrier.

8. Returns and Refunds

8.1 Custom Manufacturing: Due to the custom nature of our services, orders cannot be cancelled once production has begun unless we agree to cancellation in writing.

8.2 Defective Parts: If parts are defective due to manufacturing errors, we will remake or refund the order at our discretion. Claims must be made within 7 days of receipt.

8.3 Design Issues: We are not responsible for design flaws, dimensional errors in provided CAD files, or functionality issues not related to manufacturing quality.

9. Limitation of Liability

9.1 Maximum Liability: Our total liability for any claim arising from services provided shall not exceed the amount paid for those specific services.

9.2 Consequential Damages: We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages including lost profits, business interruption, or loss of data.

9.3 Part Usage: You are solely responsible for determining whether our parts are suitable for your intended application. We make no warranties regarding fitness for a particular purpose.

10. Prohibited Uses

You may not use our services to produce:

  • Items that infringe on intellectual property rights
  • Weapons, weapon components, or items intended to cause harm
  • Counterfeit goods or items that violate trademark or copyright laws
  • Items that are illegal under local, national, or international law
  • Adult content or sexually explicit materials

We reserve the right to refuse service for any project we deem inappropriate or illegal.

11. Warranty Disclaimer

SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

We do not warrant that our services will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free.

12. Force Majeure

We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including acts of God, war, terrorism, labour disputes, utility failures, material shortages, or government regulations.

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

Material changes will be communicated via email to registered customers.

14. Governing Law

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
